Alumni Engagement
As a new member of our academic community, students become a part of a lifelong support system. We firmly believe that fostering strong connections among Honors College alumni, families, and friends is crucial in promoting student success and fulfilling our goal of cultivating the next generation of global leaders. Our aim is to keep you well-informed about the student experience and provide numerous opportunities for you to become involved in this thriving college.
Here at the Honors College, we eagerly look forward to hearing about your latest accomplishments and academic pursuits. Your successes serve as a source of inspiration for current and future honors students, motivating them to discover their own unique talents and fulfill their potential. We warmly invite you to share with us your stories of triumph and achievement.
GOLD (Graduate of the Last Decade) Award
The Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award recognizes outstanding alumni of the John Martinson Honors College who have graduated within the past ten years and have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement, leadership, and community impact. This award celebrates young alumni who embody the values of the Honors College through their contributions to their fields and society. Each year, two individuals will be selected—one who is self-nominated and one who is nominated by a peer—highlighting the many ways alumni make a difference.
Eligible nominees must have earned their degree from Purdue University while enrolled in the Honors College within the last ten years. Nominations require a completed form detailing the nominee’s achievements, leadership roles, and service contributions, along with supporting materials such as letters of recommendation. We encourage alumni to submit a nomination for themselves or a peer who has made a meaningful impact. The nomination deadline is March 31.
