The Politics of Beauty: Stewart Udall Documentary Screening Hosted by John Martinson Honors College

The John Martinson Honors College in partnership with the Happiness and Well-Being Learning Collaborative is hosting the screening of a new film by John de Graaf, an award-winning documentary filmmaker. On Thursday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m., De Graaf will introduce a documentary film about Stewart Udall, pioneer of the U.S. National Parks system.

De Graaf touts several films and documentaries including the recent hit Affluenza on PBS. His latest film documents the life of Stewart Udall, Interior secretary during the Kennedy administration. Udall is best known for successfully advocating for the creation of many national parks and monuments in the United States. In fact, Udall was instrumental in most of the environmental legislation we now know as common.

De Graaf will introduce the Udall film, The Politics of Beauty, and lead a discussion afterwards.

This event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Happiness and Well-being Learning Collaborative, a research initiative in the John Martinson Honors College.
