Honors Advising
The Purdue John Martinson Honors College provides individualized, holistic advising in an inclusive environment in which all are welcome, safe, and valued. Honors advisors guide undergraduate students in developing an interdisciplinary plan of study which incorporates the John Martinson Honors College curriculum and our four pillars. Honors advising empowers students to apply skills gained from their Honors College experience in order to achieve personal, academic, and professional goals.
Scheduling an Appointment
To schedule an honors advising appointment, visit https://purdue.campus.eab.com/, or use the 'Schedule an Appointment' button below. Once you have signed in with your Purdue credentials, click on the “schedule appointment” icon in the top right corner.
If you have a question or concern and would like to speak with an honors advisor aside from your reserved opportunity, please stop by during your advisor's office hours or send them an email.
Schedule an AppointmentAs a result of honors advising appointments, students will be able to —
- Articulate individual progress towards completion of the John Martinson Honors College curriculum
- Create a future plan which includes honors coursework and an individualized pathway to complete a scholarly project
- Articulate multiple, unique ways that the John Martinson Honors College experience creates opportunities to become a well-rounded, well-educated scholar
Honors Advisors commit to —
- Facilitating an individualized appointment with each student
- Supporting students as they engage in a multi-year John Martinson Honors College experience
- Manage calendars in such a way that creates ample advising appointments
Additional Advising Information
You can expect your Honors Advisor to:
- Explain the Honors Curriculum requirements and possible ways you can meet them
- Ask questions and care about how your semester is going
- Identify John Martinson Honors College opportunities relevant to your strengths, interests, and goals
- Establish and maintain office hours for scheduled and drop-in appointments
Your Honors Advisor expects you to:
- Schedule an appointment with them at least once each academic year
- Be on time to your appointment
- Keep them informed about any questions/concerns you have relating to the Honors Curriculum or scholarly project
