Get Involved with the HIFI Lab

If you are interested in joining HIFI Lab, please send an email with your level of interest (descriptions below) with HIFI Interest in your email subject. Then, include your name, email address, year, major and one paragraph about your connection to nature and the environment.

• Member: to maintain active membership, students need to attend one social event, callout or lab meeting per semester and volunteer at one conservation or wildlife themed event per year
• Internship: get more involved with a project that interests you for one semester; students can earn one research credit; may participate in research and engagement symposiums
• Undergraduate Research Assistant: become a core member of the research team; work in the field; get paid for your work; must attend weekly lab meetings, conduct original research and present findings at local research symposiums
• Undergraduate Research Fellow: become a core member of the research or engagement team; earn two research credits; must attend weekly lab meetings, produce original content that contributes to the HIFI mission and present findings at local events or symposiums
• Lab Director: undergraduate position that gains direct experience with working with a large group of individuals; help manage team materials and build awareness
