Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the Honors College are the Evolution of Ideas courses because they allow me to pursue my interests outside of my major or minor.

Extracurricular Activities:
Purdue Muslim Student Association, Purdue Student Farm Organization, French Club, and research.

Major: First Year Engineering (Considering Chemical Engineering) with a Minor in Biochemistry

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite part about the Honors College is the tight-knit community that combines residential and academic life. I can meet my professors and FHPs to ask questions about my schoolwork or help on getting opportunities for research. And, I unwind with my floor-mates by watching movies, playing games, and going out for dinner. There are so many people here to support you and make Purdue feel like home!

Extracurricular Activities:
I am involved in the Women in Engineering Program at Purdue. I am on the leadership team in I2D2 which is a program that introduces engineering to elementary school students with STEM activities. I am also a part of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Undergraduate Research Society.

The ability to develop leadership and networking skills while being within a community of academically-focused scholars.

Extracurricular Activities:
I currently am on a research team that is using GIS to map the surface of the planet Mercury. Other clubs I am involved with: EAPS Ambassadors, HLC (Cohort Co-Chair for College of Science), Purdue University Geological Society, Science Olympiad Club, Women in Science Program (Mentor), and Purdue University Neoteric Knitters(VP)

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite part of the Honors College is definitely the sense of community with people from a wide variety of majors. I love seeing what my friends in engineering, film, and animal science are learning and comparing it to what I’m learning in my classes!

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite aspect is the high engagement in interdisciplinary academics. I'm a pharmacy student who loves systematic, logical thinking, but I also enjoy abstraction. I love music, art, and film, and the Honors College has allowed me to pursue these passions of mine in classes, organizations, and community events. I also love the study away/abroad programs, especially Jazz in NOLA, Architecture in Chicago, and Urban Warfare in Ireland!

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I love having the opportunity to work with so many unique people in Honors College through classes and clubs. It provides me with an easy way to branch out and meet people outside of my major. I’m also someone who likes to stay busy and with the Honors College there are always events that allow me to do so.

I’m involved in Purdue’s UX Design Club, Women in Technology, the HCR Website Development Team, and the Society.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the honors college is the community. You have very motivated students, elite professors, and knowledgable advisors that do everything they can to assist your development at Purdue. The honors college also hosts a variety of different events to help bring students together. The friends you’ll make here will truly be your lifelong friends.

Extracurricular Activities:
Old Masters, Beta Theta Pi, AICHE, Intermurals, currently working on getting my pilots license (like one or two weeks away!), study abroad(s) (Iceland, Taiwan, University College London next semester).

I love the interdisciplinary community. The opportunity to work with others that think differently not only prepares someone for a job in the workplace, but it also helps you learn how others think and how to better explain ideas to different groups of individuals.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the Honors College is that forges a bond between academic and social life unlike any other community I've experienced on Purdue's campus. It has provided me the opportunity to learn from people with different perspectives, and has lead me to develop unique interests and skills. The Honors College has served as a platform for me to broaden my friendships and delve deeper into my passions.

Extracurricular Activities:
In addition to serving as an ambassador, I am also an Honors Mentor, and work with first year students in the Evolution of Ideas course. Beyond the Honors College, I am the social media and marketing director for the Student English Association as well as an editor of the Bell Tower literary magazine.

My favorite thing about the Honors College is its dedication to developing skills that are acquired outside the classroom. From leadership to international competency to interdisciplinary communication, the Honors College cultivates these skills in its students and provides a plethora of opportunities for students to explore varying interests and competencies outside their major.

Extracurricular Activities:
I work as a data analyst for both the College of Science and Honors College. In addition, I conduct research with the Department of Biological Sciences, volunteer at IU Arnett, and am involved with the Women in Science Program, Honors Leadership Council, Stempower, and Beering Scholar Student Association.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
The amount of resources available within the honors community is amazing; they have enabled me to explore my diverse interests, both academic and extracurricular, from the moment I got here. I also value how close the honors community is, I love being surrounded by people who are respectful, hardworking and have diverse backgrounds and interests!

Extracurricular Activities:
I am a volunteer on the Women in Engineering I2D2 team and am part of the Society of Women Engineers. I am also in the IEEE Computing Society and Industrial Relations Committee.

My favorite thing about the Honors College is the importance of community. There’s always events to help relieve stress, whether they be house specific or college wide. They are the perfect environment to meet other members of the college!

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the Honors College is that it is a living and learning community. My neighbors are not just friends who I can have fun and bond with, but also peers who I can study with and learn from. This overlap helps to unite residential and academic life, and really helps me to balance these both.

Extracurricular Activities:
The Honors College Residential Society, Cycling Club (I also race multiple cycling disciplines, and have ridden my bicycle from coast to coast and from Mexico to Canada!), Honors Biology Program (Including the Bio195 research lab!)

I work at Greyhouse Coffee Supply Co. and I volunteer as a 6th Grade Mentor. Outside of school I also like to run.

My extracurriculars include being a Krannert Senator within Purdue Student Government, Larsen Leadership Academy, and Intramural Tennis.

Major: Health Sciences Major with Minors in Psychology and Spanish on Pre-Med Track

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I absolutely love all of the people I've met. Going in, I was worried everyone would be weird, and we definitely are, but in the best way possible. Everyone is so similar in terms of motivation and determination in academics, but so unique in big ways, such as a variety of majors/minors, or small ways, like my Midwestern friends say "Ope" and I say "Oop."

Extracurricular Activities:
I am a member of Timmy Global Health, Caduceus Club, and the Nutrition Society. I also will be joining a research lab in the spring and hope to become a Group X Instructor at the CoRec!

My favorite thing about the honors college is the community. Purdue is a big campus, but being a member of the honors college allows me to be apart of a larger school environment while still developing close friendships with like-minded students.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I love the doors the Honors College opened for me concerning research. I would not be working in the lab I am now if I wasn't in the Honors College.

Extracurricular Activities:
I am on the Purdue equestrian team and the Purdue rodeo team. I am the philanthropy director of Chi Omega fraternity, I work in the Purdue vet hospital cardiology department, and I participate in an equine research lab in the vet hospital.
