Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I love the true living-and-learning environment in the Honors College. Being able to run downstairs to visit with faculty and administration provides incredible opportunity to build relationships.

Extracurricular Activities:
I am a Resident Honors Preceptor for the Honors College and Residences, a member of the Speech and Debate Forum, a mentor for College Mentors for Kids, a member of the Boiler Block Party, a National Residence Hall Honorary member, and a research team member for Dr. Jason Ware's research on Well-being in the Urban Periphery.

The community of academically-focused students that comes together not only to study, but to have a group that participates in fun events around campus.

Fun fact:
I live South of Atlanta, Georgia in a golf cart community. We can drive our golf carts to school and even to the Chick-fil-A.

I am on the Women in Engineering Leadership Team, and I am an Electrical and Computer Engineering Ambassador. I am also on the Purdue Foundation Student Board, and in the CAM2 Research Group.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the honors college is the community it offers. There are always a ton of events going on for the students and the building's design makes it easy to meet people and spend time with friends. I have met a ton of awesome people through the honors college, both students and faculty, who are doing very interesting things and I am proud to be a part of our community.

Fun Fact:
I can eat an entire sleeve of saltine crackers without any water, which my friends seem to find strange.

My favorite event so far has to be the scavenger hunt where we competed between the houses.

I am in the Purdue chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, I am an Engineering 161 TA, and I am doing Chemical Engineering research on reaction catalysis.

Gatsby Gala! This was a dance hosted by Campus Outreach last year in the Honors Hall and it was super fun.

My favorite thing about the honors college are the opportunities that it brings. You get direct access to incredible faculty, additional Honors College only classes, and a close knit community.

My biggest dream in life is to give a Ted talk.

The Honors College is a smaller community within a large university. It gives me an opportunity to meet students and faculty easily as well as work with like-minded and similar goal-oriented individuals who are always there to support me. It's amazing to see how each person in the Honors College has their own unique passion and devotes the time and dedication to always grow.

Extracurricular Activities:
I am involved with the Nursing Student Council, Cru, Cornerstone, Rock climbing, Volleyball, and I am a Work-Study student in the Graduate School Department in Young Hall.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the Honors College would have to be the leadership opportunities it offers. The Purdue Honors College promotes leadership early in a student's time at Purdue, allowing first- year students to participate in programs such as the Honors Leadership Council and Honors Ambassadorship. The Honors College also connects students with professors looking specifically for Honors College students in order to pursue their undergraduate research requirement.

Fun Fact:
My undergrad majors have nothing to do with law; however, my long- term career objective is to be an attorney.

I'm a Resident Honors Preceptor in the HCR, and I represent the House System on the Honors Leadership Council! I'm also involved in the Women and Engineering Program.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite thing about the honors college is the opportunity to take interdisciplinary courses on interesting topics that aren't otherwise available in Purdue's curriculum (Monsters, anybody?). The small size of these classes always fostered deep discussion and it was a great opportunity to meet people with vastly different academic interests.

Fun Fact:
I've been collecting antiques for a number of years now (furniture, perfume bottles, books, prints, etc.) and hope to decorate my future house with all of the antiques I've accumulated!

By far my favorite part of the honors college is the people. Living in the Honors College Residences, my neighbors and friends have never failed to impress me with their kindness, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn.

Extracurricular Activities:
In addition to being a student recruiter for the Honors College, I am in the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation, which hosts tours and presentation of Purdue's engineering facilities. I am also involved with Purdue Space Day and Boiler Gold Rush.

My favorite part of the Honors College is the interdisciplinary academics. I love meeting new people who have a variety of different majors and academic experiences. My 19901 class is amazing because there are so many different perspectives to be offered on our theme of knowledge, and it's interesting to see how others interpret the readings and create their projects.

Fun Fact:
I've studied abroad in Oviedo, Spain through an IU immersion program.

Meeting people from a wide variety of majors that I wouldn't have met otherwise.

I am the Chief Justice of Purdue Student Government, and I am on the Honors Leadership Council. I am also an Undergraduate Researcher in a Psychology Lab, and I love Intramural Sports.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I love the community the Honors College provides! Seeing familiar and friendly faces hanging around the floor lounges each time I walk out of my room is a great boost to morale, and the faculty members that live on the first floor are some of the nicest and most inspirational people I have met at Purdue.

Extracurricular Activities:
Other than being an Honors ambassador, I am the safety officer for the Purdue SEDS team and am working on creating a science-fiction-themed learning community to be put into action by 2018.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I really enjoy the collaborative environment the Honors College provides. Especially when living in the Honors College and Residences, I always knew there would be someone in a lounge willing to help me out with our homework. We all work together to succeed instead of competing to be the best and I find that unique.

Favorite Honors College Event:
I enjoyed the cricket spitting event! While I didn't spit any crickets (because ew) the event was a whole lot of fun and my house (Copper House) won. Watching everyone spit crickets was hilarious. Plus, the Dean brought her dogs, they're so soft and cute!

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
I adore the atmosphere of the honors college. The dorms have a unique set up that allows me to be a part of an active community while still enjoying my own space. The floor community is tight-knit and has weekly events. I love how much you can get involved in within the Honors community as a whole. As I freshman I was given so many opportunities to grow my personal skills in leadership. I think those opportunities really gave me the boost I needed to have such a successful first year, and beginning of my second year.

Fun Fact:
I am learning American Sign Language right now!

My favorite thing about the Honors College is the community aspect that allows me to meet and work with a wide variety of students throughout my 4 years in the Honors College. All of the opportunities and individuals I have met make me excited to be an honors student.

I am involved with Mortar Board, the Honors Leadership Council, Old Masters, and Food Microbiology Research. I also am an Intern for Virta Health.

Favorite Part About the Honors College:
My favorite part about the Honors College is how it's a small, tight-knit community within the University. I love having the resources of a big university, but being able to come back home to a smaller community, surrounded by people of different experiences and backgrounds. Even though I am now past the first-year engineering course, some of my good friends in chemical engineering are those who I met in Honors.

Fun Fact:
I have a small addiction to stationery; I can't ever enter an office supply store without walking away with some sort of purchase.

I love the doors the Honors College opened for me concerning research. I would not be working in the lab I am now if I wasn't in the Honors College.

Extracurricular Activities:
I am on the Purdue equestrian team and the Purdue rodeo team. I am the philanthropy director of Chi Omega fraternity, I work in the Purdue vet hospital cardiology department, and I participate in an equine research lab in the vet hospital.
