The Purdue Honors College is dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities to enhance the honors student experience. Below are descriptions of our recurring event series, each with a specific focus to enhance the four-year student experience.
Honors First Year Orientation
This is a welcoming event to introduce new students to our vibrant honors community, learn more about the college, and meet faculty, staff and student leaders. Our orientation is typically held the weekend before classes start in the fall semester.
A new tradition of welcoming back all of our honors students at the start of the fall semester to reconnect with the college and join in on the excitement of a new academic year.
This series is dedicated to giving students all the tools that they need to succeed in the real world: academically and in the job market.
Honors Across Campus
The Honors College is an integral partner in the larger Purdue campus community with participation in time-honored traditional events such as Homecoming, Family Weekend and SpringFest.
Cooking with the Dean
In these events, enjoy seasonal meals hand-prepared by Dean Phillips herself. Join us for the most delicious form of community-building.
Honors Holiday Party
A chance to celebrate the holiday season and enjoy a relaxing break before the end of the fall term. Cookies, hot chocolate, and ginger bread houses will be a part of this festive event with fellow honors students, faculty, and staff.
How will you leave your legacy in the Honors College? Join the honors college community in a celebration to share memories, relax before finals, and say goodbye to old and new friends.
Skate into Spring
Grab your honors friends and come out for a night of skating and winter wonderland fun as we celebrate the start of the spring semester!
The Honors College co-hosts receptions throughout the academic year bringing together honors students from each undergraduate disciplinary college at Purdue to meet and mingle with our Honors College Dean and the Dean from their home college.
Ars Poetica et Technica
This series is dedicated to celebrating the research and works of Honors College faculty members as an example of scholarly creation.
